How to adjust the diopter of a binocular?
- Adjust the interpupillary distance (IPD) so that the distance between the eyepieces matches the distance between your pupils.
- Look through the binoculars with both eyes open and focus on a distant object.
- Close your right eye and adjust the center focusing knob with your left eye until the object is in sharp focus.
- Close your left eye and look through the binoculars with your right eye. The object might appear slightly blurry.
- While looking through the binoculars with your right eye, use the diopter adjustment ring located on the right eyepiece to adjust the focus until the object appears sharp and clear.
- Open both eyes and verify that the image appears clear and in focus. If not, repeat the above steps until you achieve the desired focus.
Adjusting the diopter on your binoculars can take a bit of trial and error, but with practice, you should be able to achieve a sharp and clear image.
